Contra Dances in western Massachusetts

Contradances coming up soon at the Munson Library, 1046 South East Street in South Amherst, Massachusetts:

Note: The 4th Saturday dances at Munson Library are held monthly EXCEPT in July, August and December. 2nd Saturday dances are continuing through the summer, as far as I know. 5th Saturday dances are cancelled until further notice. There are English Country Dances at Munson Library on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.

If you haven't yet been to a contradance, we invite you to attend! Come alone, or bring a partner, family, or friends. The dances naturally mix everyone, and new dancers learn from experienced dancers. Contradancing is fun, social, and good exercise, and it's done in a smoke-free and alcohol-free environment. Best of all...it's done to wonderful live music!

For a detailed schedule of upcoming music and dance events at the Guiding Star Grange in Greenfield, see the Friends of the Grange website.

For the schedule of English Country dances at Munson Library, see the Amherst English Country Dance website.

If you're headed to the Berkshires, there's a dance series in Lenox, Massachusetts.

If you're travelling further afield in New England, check out the extensive listings in The Dance Gypsy.
